What an incredible establishment and group of trainers. As an anxious mom of a 1 year old, I didn’t want a puppy, but desperately wanted a dog. Danielle got back to me within 24 hours of my application. She had never met me, but she had Ian meet us in Carson to introduce Carl (a rescue) to my son to see if it was a good fit. It was!

Carl went through the board and train quickly after we got him as he had no formal training prior and we needed tools for him and my son to coexist with confidence.

Carl came home with a good base of knowledge, but the next few weeks of personal and group lessons he truly became the dog that we thought he could be.

I am convinced if every business had a Danielle running it, it would be successful as she is painfully organized and prompt with responses.

We have worked with Ian, Abby, Austin, and Brandon and they have all helped us with Carl in their own way.

Thank you SO much Stand Proud! Bringing Carl into the family made us whole, but we could not have done it without you guys.
— Amanda w/Carl

Wow - I am SO HAPPY that I found Stand Proud! I would give them 10 stars if I could! I live in SLT and tried to find a good trainer. I was not sold on any of the trainers in SLT so I expanded our search to Reno! Less than 1 day after submitting an inquiry form, I received a call from Danielle. During the call, we chatted about my dog, Boomer, and the areas where he needed some work :)

Danielle was amazing from the start - she is incredibly kind and has wonderful communication skills. We booked an intake session to visit the facility to meet Brandon - he and Danielle own Stand Proud together.

When we met Brandon, it was a great session. You can absolutely tell that they love training dogs and this is their passion. The facility was incredibly clean and easy to find. There were also tons of photos of dogs on the wall which was super cute. During our session, Brandon was sure to understand why we were interested in Stand Proud and how his training could help Boomer. He clearly explain their training methods and what we could expect during the board and train. We explained that Boomer was a bit timid and unsure of new people, needed extra help with his commands, and needed some work on his confidence. Brandon assured us that these issues could be addressed and we would have a new, happier Boomer after training.

After the intake session, it was very easy to schedule the days that Boomer would actually be in boarding/training. Danielle, once again, was amazing. I had many questions and she answered all of them immediately. Boomer’s drop off was very easy also. We brought his food, leash, and a kennel attendant helped with his arrival.

During his training we received multiple updates - videos, photos, texts, of his progress and overall updates on how he was doing. Seeing the photos made us so happy - he made a few friends and loved his time there. Danielle was always very quick to respond and I received wonderful updates on his training progress.

Since Boomer can be a little stubborn, he was at training for three weeks instead of two! lol. I’m so glad he got the extra week of training though. He has some funny personality quirks and the extra week made a world of a difference.

When my boyfriend and I picked Boomer up - we were so excited! Once again, communication with Danielle was great. We locked in a time to pick him up and it was very easy.

Boomer’s main trainer was Austin and we got the chance to meet him during the training session for us and Boomer when we picked him up. Upon seeing Boomer for just 1 minute, we could see major improvements!! During our training session, we were so impressed with his progress. He was excellent on leash, listening to commands, he was much more calm, and his demeanor was so much more confident! Prior to dropping him off at training, he was always scared of people. He absolutely loved Austin, Abby, and another woman who was working at the facility. It was so special to see him happy and confident around people!

We’ve had Boomer at home for almost one week and we’ve talked about how happy we are that he went to Stand Proud every single day that he’s been home. Walks are so much more enjoyable - he’s not pulling us down the street and he’s very attentive. His house manners and amazing and he is now comfortable meeting new people. He still gets a little excited here and there but with the new tools that we have and training he has received, we have such an amazing new bond with him. We can also tell that Boomer is incredibly proud of himself once he follows commands.

We have a packet of Boomer’s homework, received some fun Stand Proud goodies, and brought home a happier and more confident version of Boomer. Every step of training from the initial phone call to picking him up was a great experience.

Another extra perk of their board and train program is that Boomer can board at their facility now. We don’t travel without Boomer too often but we are so happy to know that if we need to travel without him, he will be in good hands at Stand Proud.
— Courtney w/ Boomer

Stand Proud is hands down the best of the best. From their team to the lasting effects that their passion, love and understanding of canine behavior delivers. I adopted Jack (dog) through a line of sketchy owners unable to handle him. He is a, now, 4 year old black lab. When taking him in, I was unaware of what was ahead of me. He was deeply reactive and anxious which led to him developing a bite history. I looked into a bunch of different options for him— none of which would have helped his particular issues or would have ultimately led to him being put down. But I knew he was not a lost cause, nor an “aggressive” dog. Stand Proud helped prove this notion with me. I signed him up for their 5 week program for reactive dogs and though he was not “perfect” arriving home to me, he and myself had made some huge strides. With their continued help in training Jack (and myself) after the program, he has transformed into the goofy and loving dog I knew he was underneath his fears. He understands basic obedience and does not become reactive out in public towards people walking by anymore. I have since moved out of Reno where they are located, but continue to make the 2 hour commute to use their boarding services because I don’t think I will find another company that I trust with Jack as much as them!
— Lana w/ Jack

We sent our reactive 150 lb Great Dane to Stand Proud and the results were amazing! Brandon, Danielle, Ian, Austin and all of the other staff at Stand Proud are incredible! After three weeks of working with our pup, he learned basic obedience, how to relax in stressful environments, and learned to control his reactivity. As owners, we also learned a ton about our dog and how to be better dog handlers. Not only do they teach your dog, but they teach you as owners! If you work to implement the tools that they teach, you will have a happy and well behaved dog!
— Paul w/ Buck

CANT BELIEVE MY GSD’S IMPROVEMENT FROM HIS 4 WEEK BOARD AND TRAIN!!! AN EPIC EXPERIENCE! I DROPPED HIM OFF FROM CALIFORNIA TO GET HIM TRAINED HERE BECAUSE OF THE OUTSTANDING REVIEWS AND IT’S TRUE, STAND PROUD REALLY IS SUPERB AT WHAT THEY DO!! THE FACILITY IS SO CLEAN AND THE TRAINERS THERE ARE SO PATIENT, KIND, AND HONEST! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO DOG WHISPERER BRANDON AND HIS TEAM. IAN SHOWED US SOME VERY IMPORTANT KEY POINTS THAT HELPED OTTO EASE HIS WAY BACK INTO OUR HOME UNDER BETTER DIRECTION. DANIELLE IS SUCH A SWEETHEART! SHE HAD SO MUCH PATIENCE WHEN IT CAME TO DEALING WITH THE ROCKY BEGINNING WE HAD JUST TO GET HIM THERE BECAUSE OF HIS HEALTH ISSUES. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS BUSINESS AND WOULDN’T GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR OTTO’S TRAINING NEEDS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM 100%
— Vanessa w/Otto

I recently adopted a mastiff and she is the sweetest dog ever but I knew with her size I would need to have her under good control and I wanted to get started right away. She wasn’t great at listening and she had a major problem with chasing all cars and diving in front of them. She came close several times to getting squished. After doing A LOT of research I settled on Stand Proud (I had taken my other dog to a different facility and I was not that happy with the results). I left my dog for a 2 week board and train and I have been doing all of her follow up lessons that come with it. When I picked Boog up from the board and train she seemed happy and I knew they had taken great care of her. Ian was her trainer and she loves him (probably more than me). He has a very calm affect and always very professional. He takes his job seriously and is genuinely dedicated to getting results. Boog no longer chases cars, she comes when called, she heels off leash and I no longer have the stress of worrying about her safety. I have also gained a lot of confidence in knowing I am implementing proper instructions to continue her lifetime of being the goodest dog. Danielle is amazing and super responsive and sweet. She is constantly in touch and really helped calm my nerves since I was so nervous leaving my dog in someone else’s hands. She really goes above and beyond her job requirements and I can’t say how much I appreciate her help and availability. It was worth every penny. I have already recommended Stand Proud to all of my friends and will definitely be using them for future dog training.
— Sonja w/Boog

We love Stand Proud! Brandon and Austin have trained all four of our dogs. We enjoy pack walks now and have structure in our home. Everyone has ‘rules’ in the house which is important with dogs who like to herd each other. We still have fun and they pups understand when it’s time to play and time to place. I trust them out in the mountains with their recall because of their training.
— Erika w/ Blue Bell & Rusty

Stand Proud training is the best of the best! I was nervous to leave my pup for board and train but when I picked her up, she was so smiley and happy! There was no doubt she was treated well! Brandon, Ian, Austin, and everyone at Stand Proud did an amazing job! My Rottweiler was in need of focus training and solid command work. Before Stand Proud, she would pull when walking, jump on people, run around when we’d call her. After training, she follows all commands clearly, walks gently and greets people calmly. We now take her to Stand Proud for daycare/play dates and she gets SO excited to be there! Highly recommend Stand Proud for all your training needs.
— Mollie w/ Snowie

We definitely lucked out when we found out about Stand Proud! I was looking through different training websites in town, and a coworker recommended them as she knew someone who used them a while ago. I reached out and they responded very quickly! There were some places that took weeks to get back to me, but Stand Proud reached out to me that very same day. Honey Lemon is a cane corso puppy who has a lot of energy, very fearful, and needed guidance. Since I was new to this breed, we needed to get started on training ASAP. We started with private classes at 4 months old, and she went in for board and train at 5 months. We still continue private lessons as needed, and join group classes when we are able to. Brandon and Austin have worked so hard to get Honey where she is now! Their commitment and dedication is unmatched. Danielle works tirelessly with their growing schedule, and always gets back in such a timely manner. On top of all this, they have literally turned into family. They have been there for us through a lot of things, and was able to get Honey back in for board only when we had our first baby. I will always recommend them to everyone who’s looking for a trainer in town.
— Alex w/Honey Lemon

I’d love to give Stand Proud a huge appreciation! I’d give 20000 stars if I could. They have helped us in so many ways with taming Luna and Zeus! They have made our lives so much nicer with these two wild pups! They care and give absolutely wonderful training. We absolutely love working with Austin, Brandon, and Danielle. You guys rock and I will never stop saying it!!
— Samantha w/ Luna & Zeus

I am so incredibly thankful to Stand Proud for saving our family. We sent 3 dogs, 2 gigantic very stubborn neos, one of which was scared of life and somewhat snappy, and another who was friendly but didn’t listen. The third a grumpy and dog aggressive English bulldog. We had decided to travel and wanted to take everyone with but also had no idea how to make it work. I started looking for a trainer and reading reviews for places from California, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho. I came across Stand Proud’s and spoke with Danielle, and I knew I wanted to take our pups to them. We had a few hang ups on our end before being able to get them started but Danielle, was so flexible and continued to help a long the way. Danielle gave updates the entire length of the 5 week training. I knew they were in good hands. We picked up America a week before the other 2, and of course she pushed buttons. Brandon and Danielle had already prepared us for these times. A week later we picked up the other girls, we were so nervous thinking we were going to mess up all of their hard work but that hasn’t been the case at all. These dogs are entirely different dogs. They are calm, and so well mannered. I am so impressed, and I truly feel they’ve made our travel life possible. We can now include them in everything that we enjoy. We can take them to parks, and stores, and have people over. They even listen to commands off leash. My dogs are so happy again, and so are we. Stand Proud is still working with us, and making sure we have all the tools to make sure we are absolutely pleased. One day we went over and checked out their home and the pups they had in training. Everyone was so calm and no barking. Brandon and the rest of the team have so much talent and this is most definitely their calling! I can not thank this company any more!! You guys are amazing and Worth every single penny! Thank you a million times!
— Tammy w/ Hurley, America, & Charlie

Stand Proud Training ultimately saved my pit/lab dogs life. He was very territorial and aggressive towards anyone new coming onto the property. I had tried “positive training” with him before I went to Stand Proud and he bit someone minutes after the trainer left.

Brandon, Austin and Danielle went above and beyond to help him learn proper behavior and continue to provide me with the knowledge and tools to be successful at home. They treat you and your dog like family and the results I have seen from my boy are incredible. I won’t take my fur babies anywhere else! I highly recommend!!!
— Jordann w/Archie

Normally a testimonial begins with the backstory. I am breaking that model and will start with a statement of our truth. Brandon and Danielle are the most amazing people, who happen to be the most excellent dog trainers we have ever met. They are kind, caring, considerate, empathic, and respect every creature. We trust and respect them completely!
Now, for those who want to know why we feel this way, you can read on. Having recently relocated to the area, we knew that we wanted to find a trustworthy and capable trainer for our dogs. Before relocating we rescued our dogs and they had been through what would be considered some rough times (abandoned in a storage container), before we took them into our home. Demonstrating anxious/fearful behavior we engaged different trainers, who were referred to us as “experts”, and the pups did okay. When we decided to move, it was very stressful (selling a home in another state, being in temporary housing for several months before even arriving in Reno, etc.), so we were concerned with the move to a new state, area, home, how they would feel and the impact. We did a lot of research of dog trainers and style of training, in the Reno area. We were so impressed with the content on the Stand Proud site, and immediately contacted them.
From the first meeting with Brandon, we felt instantly comfortable with his knowledge, experience, demeanor, and how he was able to immediately have a positive interaction with our dogs. He listened to our story, the background that we had of the dogs (very little except our own experiences), and what we hoped to accomplish (happy, loving, confident pups). He agreed to take on our dogs in a board and train environment.
Danielle is a force of nature! She is amazingly kind, thoughtful, responsive, and caring. She was so kind to bring a piece of gear, which I had forgotten, to my office as we prepared for training to begin. Brandon’s explanation of his training methods and process was clear and thorough. This fact increased our confidence that we had made the right choice.
Brandon and Danielle have made such an amazing positive impact on our family (fur and people), and we consider them family. We would have been lost without them.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a fantastic dog (and owner) trainer, Brandon and Danielle with Stand Proud are the people for you and your fur babies!

I need to start this review by saying, without exaggeration, that Brandon saved my dog Jake’s life. I was at the end of my rope & in a fit of anxiety & fear my boy did the unthinkable & bit me.
Jake had been through so much & so many owners over the years that I knew getting rid of him would no doubt end his life. Who else would take him after this?! Plus, he’s my dog! I love him so much & was completely heartbroken. I emailed Stand Proud the night of the incident, thinking I’d hear back in the morning & instead ended up emailing with Danielle until 11pm. These ppl truly care about you & your dog. They are extremely up front & honest about the issues they see & how they think they can help. But they will help you! Every single step of the way they are there. Jake did 6wks of B&T with them & now we are in the follow up phase. We still have work to do but I’ve seen an amazing change in this dog. Beyond just singing their praises, I decided to write this review to let folks know that even in the toughest of circumstances, there is hope for you & your beloved pet. Brandon, Danielle & Austin will love your dog like their own & treat you like family. I truly believe they have been Jake’s guardian angels.
— Elizabeth w/Jakers

My family and I brought in Duke at a young age. They have been working with us into making him a wonderful family dog. My husband and I wanted to make sure that we were doing everything we can to train Duke to be the best he can be. We love the fact that they take time to help us and to help our kids to work with Duke. I would recommend Stand proud to everyone because they take the time to help train dogs to be better and also to help the families to have there dogs be part of the family!!!
— Rachel w/Duke

Brandon did wonders for our Reesa. We are so grateful for what he taught her as well as what he taught us. Thank you Brandon
— Cindy w/Reesa

This team is so awesome! We brought our pittie Milo and they saved his life...literally. His resource guarding was so bad that my adult kids were scared! He’s the best dog now.. no, he won’t ever be a dog park dog but now he’s a safe and well-loved and well behaved member of our family!!
— Valerie w/Milo

Squid and I have never been happier or more confident! He has always been such a smart dog and I just never really learned how to tap into that. With the help from Stand proud, squid and I now know how to communicate and he looks to me for approval/disapproval at almost every step! I have already been recommending them to anyone with a dog! It’s just made my life so much easier (already) and it’s made squid and I happier together!
— Taylor w/Squid

Gus, our 14 month springer spaniel, spent 3 weeks at Stand Proud. We are thrilled with his progress - especially his “heel” and “go to place.” He’s a stubborn boy and Brandon & Austin cracked the code. They really care about the dogs and are great trainers. They were very responsive via text and shared pictures and updates. The follow up sessions have been great for training me & my husband so we can maintain all that Gus has learned. We highly recommend Stand Proud!
— Jennifer w/Gus

I have to say that taking our dogs to Stand Proud K9 was the best decision we ever made. Our dogs are perfect on the leash, perfect in public, and we’re always getting compliments on how well-behaved they are.

We use their boarding services too, and our boxers love to go. I would recommend Stand Proud K9 to all of my friends and family.
— Sergio w/Mocha & Turbo

Trusted these guys with both our doggies for 5 weeks! Our pups needed some basic training and behavioral adjustments plus we were heading out of town for a little while. This place ended up being the perfect spot for them. Stand proud was fantastic with communication and super flexible with what we needed. Anytime we wanted an update on the pups, we got pics and/or vids. After their stay, we feel like we have the foundation and tools to help our pups live their best lives. The additional private lessons and group classes will definitely help us and the pups stay disciplined too! Would highly recommend!
— Rachel w/Jet &Rocket

I had my dog Evie go to STAND PROUD for obedience training. After reading all their information on the Internet I had great expectations of what Evie would be capable of doing after her training. I was not disappointed one single bit. Not only did Evie come home with all of the skills that they had listed but even one that was even more important to me. Evie had a problem of peeing on the carpet and it was a very big problem. I talked to Brandon and Danielle about it and they said that they would do their best to conquer that issue. I am so excited to say that was achieved. It is wonderful to have a well trained and behaved dog. It makes it fun just to have her around and love her. If you choose this business to train your dog you will be thrilled at the results. I have grown to care about them very much! I am now in rolling my other dog into obedience training but also continuing Evie’s training. That alone should tell you what a good value this business has. You won’t be sorry give them a try. 😄
— Kathy w/Evie &Harper

We brought our 10 month old puppy, Chewbacca there for a 3 week basic board and train and they told me not to expect a brand new, well behaved dog when we picked him up, but when we pulled up to pick him up, I didn’t even think he was our dog! He was so well behaved! He was always really smart, but he just would never listen and he was hard to teach him basic things. After being with them for 3 weeks he is so well trained and listens. He doesn’t run away from us and he listens so well! We are from Vegas and they offered to do zoom call follow ups and Danielle drove through Vegas and did a little training session with us! He learned heel, door manners, not to jump on people, leash manners, place, they did prong collar training and even got him trained on an e-collar. They taught so much more than that too. He is so much calmer in the house and doesn’t play aggressively with our kitten anymore! He also had potty problems where he would go in his crate every time he was in there and they helped stop that and helped with his separation anxiety! All throughout his training they sent us pictures and updates, which was good because he’s like my baby and we’ve never been apart for long! I recommend them to everyone! We also can text them whenever to get tips and tricks on things! They are so amazing! Definitely will bring him back for a more advanced training!! Thank you Stand Proud!!
— Jocelyn w/Chewbacca

I can never thank the team at stand proud enough for all that they have done for my dog Kinsley! Kinsley is my rescue pup, who has a history of abuse from a past owner, leading to a hip malformation. She was scared of people and dogs, which often presented itself as reactivity. Kinsley’s anxiety became debilitating, with her becoming more and more dependent and protective of me. I brought her to a positive reinforcement program in the area, and in a group class the trainer labeled Kinsley as the “angry dog” and every class I left in tears. Signing Kinsley up for the behavior modification program has been life changing. Brandon was one of the first tall males that Kinsley trusted, and during her time at their home she became a member of their pack. I loved receiving pictures of Kinsley playing and cuddling with Brandon and Danielle’s dogs, as well as their son, Elijah. Each week Kinsley has became more and more confident and her quality of life has vastly improved, with structure and clear communication. I never would have imagined that we would be in the place where we are now, where I am able to bring Kinsley to breweries, hikes with other dogs, and gatherings with friends. At one of the last group trainings at Scheels, Kinsley chose to say hi and greet 10+ strangers, each and every one of them shocked to hear that she used to be the dog that would hide or growl at the idea of meeting a new person. With her new confidence, Kinsley is now able to show her sweet, goofy and loving personality. To the dog owners who are reading this with highly anxious and reactive dogs, I was in your shoes and there is so much hope for your pup! The behavior and modification program was 100% worth the investment. I am soo extremely grateful for Brandon and Danielle, for saving and improving Kinsley’s life!
— Morgan w/Kinsley

Best dog trainer in Reno! We have been so fortunate to have found Brandon at Stand Proud Dog Training. We’ve signed up for a 3-week board and train and have started with private lessons and we’ve made massive progress working with our dog!

We thought we would have to get rid of our dog due to his aggression and now we have a safe dog that no longer shows signs of aggression. I love that one of Stand Proud’s specialties is working with dogs with aggression.

You can’t put a price to the value of what we’ve gotten so far working with Stand Proud. I highly recommend working with them if you want to have a loving pet that is well trained and behaved! Best gift ever!
— Adrienne w/Pike

I’m so happy with our experience and outcome!
First let me tell you about my dog and the behavior I was looking to work on. Ajax is a 6 year old lab pit mix. He’s always been possessive with toys as well as with me. He would get into fights with dogs and latch onto their necks. He wouldn’t let go without physical intervention from me. He would bark at other dogs and even knocked me over and dragged me on his leash to approach another dog through a fence. I was in constant fear that he would seriously injure another dog. It got to the point where I didn’t feel comfortable taking him on walks anymore. He would constantly bring us toys in the house and whine at us until we would throw them. I had extreme feelings of guilt and felt like I couldn’t give him the life he deserved. I sought Brandon’s help after moving in with my boyfriend who also has a lab. We wanted them to be able to co exist. After attempting to introduce them on their own, Ajax attacked Tyson (his dog) so we knew we needed help.
Ajax participated in the 6 week board and train with Brandon, my boyfriend and I are absolutely blown away by the results already! He just returned home about 1 week ago and we already feel comfortable not having him muzzled with Tyson. There haven’t been any incidents yet! His place command is so useful in the house! He fully understands that play time is meant to be outside. I’ve taken him to the marina and gone on off leash hikes and he’s doing really well with his commands! Brandon is so knowledgeable about what signs to look for that my indicate Ajax needs space. Brandon taught us so much about Ajax’s behavior and what it means. He’s also given us drills to work on to keep enforcing what’s he’s learned. Ajax truly seems like a happier dog and he’s shows us much more respect!
While Ajax was gone we also received a lot of support from Danielle! She was always available to send me pictures whenever I was missing him. She even decorated his kennel for his birthday! She’s also been easy to communicate with since we got him back with any questions about do’s and dont’s.
The program is definitely worth it. It’s making us so happy to see our boys interacting and every day gets better. We look forward to our private lessons and group classes so we can continue to learn and teach Ajax! Thank you Brandon!
— Christina w/Ajax

Everyone there is extremely friendly, caring and willing to do what it takes to make you a better pet parent. They’re great my dog, who is hands down one of the highest energy labs I’ve ever seen. Austin is our go-to trainer and has a amazing demeanor, he knows how to get results and does it all while ensuring our dog has fun. I highly recommend their training packages, including the three week in-house program. We’ve used their boarding numerous times and our dog loves going there. Thanks Stand proud/Austin, we look forward to every interaction we have with you.
— Tyler w/Cookie

Our Aussie puppy, Pixel, had 4 private sessions with Austin, and we’re gone to three group sessions so far. She’s a very energetic pup, but she she has really calmed down and seems to enjoy the classes. We’re sold on Stand Proud and will highly recommend them in the future!
— Ellen w/Pixel

I looked for a trainer for a couple weeks before choosing stand proud and I am glad I did. They are responsive, understanding, and my dogs LOVE them. They have been very patient with my little dog that has anxiety and the progress she has made has been amazing. She used to be scared to go on walks but with the help of stand proud, Brandon and Austin, she is walking with so much confidence. Highly recommend them. I tell anyone I can about them.
— Jenna w/Finley, Molly Ann, Champion

Brandon is amazing, we sent our lab Copper for a board and train and he came back a completely different dog. Before training, we couldn’t take him anywhere, he was very energetic and loved to run up to strangers to say hi. He also had a habit of peeing uncontrollably when he got excited. Brandon was a miracle worker, the first day home, Copper went to the park with me and my daughter and held place the whole time we were there. Over time, some old behaviors started to come back so we sent Copper to the advanced training program and he is such a good boy now. We are very impressed with Brandon and his skills. I recommend Stand Proud to anyone who asks. Thank you!!!!.
— Tom w/Copper

Great experience. Took our Great Dane for training for 2 weeks. WOW what a change. They surpassed our expectations and our Good boy is now the Best boy ever. They are focused on succeeding and delivering the best results. Totally reccomend Them.
— Juan w/Duke

I have had 3 dogs trained by Brandon at Stand Proud K9 training, two of which were rescues. Having your dog actually live with the trainer during a two week (or longer) training program is the only way to go. You can have a visit with your pup(s) during the training and then get your own training on how to communicate with your dog when the training has been completed. Brandon stands behind his training and is always willing to help you with any and all issues you are having afterwards. One of my goals is to hike with my dogs off leash and trust that they will come when called. I take my dogs everywhere and trust them completely. I will only use Stand Proud for my dog training and boarding needs. My pups come home happy and very well behaved when they are boarded with Brandon. Honestly, it’s the best thing you can do for you and your pup(s).
— Lori w/Family

1 1/2 years ago I brought my very large (120 lbs) aggressive, very reactive german shepherd Dallas to stand proud for a 6 week behavioral modification training after numerous trainers had told me to just put him down because he was a lost cause..Brandon and Danielle have changed our life..even though Dallas wasn’t an easy candidate and even after escaping his kennel and breaking through a door in his house Brandon still takes his time and understands Dallas at his worst..the dog who trusted nobody now trusts..while he will never be a dog that somebody can walk up to and pet he is no longer a danger to the public or himself he actually listens to me he is confident and publicly acceptable now these are the best trainers you can ever bring your dog to..you can trust them, they are knowledgeable and always willing to help even if you don’t know what kind of help you need ..you won’t find better than stand proud go to their Facebook page and watch Dallas and his introduction video if that doesn’t tell you what kind of trainers these people are nothing will
— Cassidy w/Dallas

We rescued Bristol, a Jack Russell terrier a year ago and she was a total mess. We couldn’t even leave her in the backyard alone because she attacked the fence when our neighbor dog would be out. She would “scream” at anything...dog, car, birds, it didn’t matter. We tried another trainer but nothing seemed to work. Then I found Stand Proud and had her board and train with Brandon. What a total difference he’s made! She’s still got a ways to go, but I can take her out in the world now! Brandon is a true dog whisperer and we really appreciate the work he’s put in with Bristol. If you need a trainer, don’t go anywhere else.
— Jana w/Bristol

This team is so awesome! We brought our pittie Milo and they saved his life...literally. His resource guarding was so bad that my adult kids were scared! He’s the best dog now.. no, he won’t ever be a dog park dog but now he’s a safe and well-loved and well behaved member of our family!!
— Valerie w/Milo

Where do I start!? [...] Brandon at Stand Proud K9 is awesome and I can safely say they helped transformed the quality of life of our entire family. We brought in our 9 month old pup Bear (supposedly a 50b Aussie mix who turned out to be a 90lb GSD/Malamute mix!) to Stand Proud to help us with a handful of concerns. 1) I am a big hiker/trail runner and I needed Bear to be reliable on trail when he is off leash. To come when called, to stand down when encountering others on trail, and to not chase exciting distractions like rabbits and squirrels. 2) My husband and step sons were not familiar with dogs and didn’t understand dog dynamics and they, as well as Bear, needed some guidance and direction and 3) Bear is like all the males in my family - large, in charge, independent, a bit naughty, but fiercely loyal with a huge heart. Bear needed some rules and boundaries to make life smoother for us all.

We enrolled in a 4 session private lesson package and boy are we glad we did. These four sessions changed our home life completely! Bear learned to stay, sit, and most importantly to “place”. He began to understand who rules the roost so to speak and to obey commands. We all gained confidence in how to handle Bear and to communicate what we needed from him. In return, Bear grew calm, at ease, confident, less skittish, less fearful, and much more comfortable in all circumstances.

With the help of Stand Proud I can now take Bear on hikes and runs with confidence knowing that Bear will respond to me summoned. Additionally, my “I don’t like dogs” husband has become a dog-lover who is confident in his ability to handle and command Bear. Their relationship is lightyears improved.

We owe it all to [...] Brandon at Stand Proud. We are grateful to have found you! HIghly recommended if you are looking to help your pup bet the best it can be and to ease the stress of living with an anxious/aggressive/barky/needy/out of control dog.

Reesa was a wild child, 3 weeks with Brandon and it has been a great improvement. It will be an on going process, but the change is amazing.

We went back and forth about board and train for Gary given he was just shy of 7mos, but as new, first time puppy parents we needed help. I can’t recommend Stand Proud enough. Our fun loving, super smart pup came back to us... still fun loving and super smart, but with with the skills to focus and follow commands. This gave us the confidence we needed to keep it going and broaden Gary’s experiences without fear or embarrassment. So many thanks!

Our dogs are now SAFE because they know boundaries and our expectations for them. They will not run out the door and they are not in danger of running off and potentially getting hit by a car. Everyone who meets them comments on what well behaved dogs they are!!! We so look forward to our weekly training and know that the dogs love it as well!
